Guggal incense resin, also known as guggul or gum guggul, is a soft, water soluble myrrh complex substance harvested from the Commiphora species of trees, which are native to India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. The resin is collected by "tapping" the tree, in the same way that maple syrup is collected! It composed of a variety of plant compounds, including guggulsterones, and has a long history of use in traditional Indian medicine. It has a warm, earthy, balsamic aroma with hints of sweetness and spiciness, and a touch of vanilla  It’s also used in perfumery and aromatherapy, and can be mixed with other scents like frankincense, myrrh, and lavender

These Incense Resins are ethically sourced and fairly traded from India and are sold in re-useable in 50g tins, although the resin weights are approximate and may be 45-50g.

    Ingredients:  Commiphora mukul resin

Use: Light the charcoal and place it in your incense holder. Hold the charcoal with tongs. The charcoal will then self-ignite across the surface. When the charcoal starts to go grey around the edges this is the time to add resin.  Often people add sand to incense holder to help absorb heat. Always burn in a incense burner and on a heat proof surface. Keep away from drafts. Keep away from children and pets. Ventilate the room well during and after use.

    Origin: India
