Carnelian - Uses, Meanings, Applications, Benefits and Properties

With it's rich, well known history in ancient Egyptian culture focusing on the journey from life to death, it would be easy to see Carnelian healing crystals as a predominantly spiritual stone, yet this couldn't be further from the truth! Although certainly considered to be a high vibrational stone, Carnelian is most famed amongst therapists for its empowering and bold energy, making it popular amongst leaders and business persons, and those looking to take action over their life path and choices.

It's confidence inspiring ability works outwards from a place of self-assurance and clarity in decision making. This makes Carnelian a powerful ally for those creative and sensitive souls who often find themselves with vision and purpose, but lacking the "go do" to make those ideas a reality. Procrastinators, or those confused by multiple options or ideas, can also find peace of mind and routes through, to take control over their projects and pathways.

Physically, Carnelian is said to give us our "va va voom". With crystal healers turning to it for vitality, as well as degenerative conditions, it is considered to be a useful stone for the elders amongst us, or those beginning to feel those creaks and clicks of the natural aging processes creeping in.

In terms of relationships, Carnelian helps us boldly communicate those things we may find difficult, such as asking for support. It helps quieten thoughts that aren't relevant to where we are in that moment, which may help us focus more during times with our loved ones. As well as this, it is famed for it's use as a sexual fire starter, helping us to embrace passion, playfulness and physical desire. This, combined with it's courage giving, motivational, and driving energies, creates perfect opportunities for trying new things, communicating our desires, and becoming focused on each other within a place of intimacy, whilst keeping us grounded in the moment. An ideal crystal to revisit on that wedding anniversary perhaps?
