Serpentine (New Jade) - Properties, Benefits, Meanings, Applications
Share
Serpentine healing crystal, often called "New Jade", takes it's name from the common, snake like colours it is found in, and the smooth skin-like textures. Serpentine stone is further related to the snake, as it is believed to have particular associations to Kundalini. With it's mottled patterns of browns, reds and whites, interspersing its spectrum of yellows and greens, its easy to see it's earth and nature connections and to understand why it is a firm favourite of earth healers and communicators.
Serpentine carries the memories of evolution. It's energy connects us deeply to nature and through working with it, access to historical earth energy becomes possible, as does unlocking the stored knowledge of the natural world. Earth changes and shifts can also be perceived, empowering animal, plant, and stone communication and helping attune to the natural world around us whilst providing us with cellular regeneration and replenishing our energy.
Serpentine, or New Jade, is a widely found crystal type with more notable deposits are from Italy, South Africa, Russia, Zimbabwe, America and Brazil.. It is also found much closer to home, including in Cornwall, and in Ireland too, where a mixture of marble and Serpentine make up the famous Connemara marble.
It clears blocked energy points along the meridians and bringing our energies back into a natural balance. It is harmonising to brain patterns, helping the more ancient parts of our brain come under the control of the higher brain. This helps us correct unhealthy thought patterns. Light green stone helps us heal from past relationships, allowing us to let go of any residual baggage and view those situations with both compassion and self forgiveness. All Serpentine is thought to soothe the emotions too, enabling us to face change with excitement for the future instead of fear. It helps us see the bigger picture, letting go of self-centred thoughts and plans, and giving a global vision and world goals for the common good!
